• Will Jesus Soon Destroy Christendom? - To most of us, the word “Christendom” means “the entire body of Christians worldwide” or perhaps “the part of the world where Christianity is most common.” But to Jehovah’s Witnesses, it means the world of false Christianity which professes to be Christian but doesn’t follow the teachings and practices of the Watchtower.
  • Is Jesus Abaddon (the Destroyer)? - Now we are shifting our attention to Watchtower misconceptions about Jesus’ role in the end times. Who is Abaddon / Apollyon (the Destroyer) in Revelation 9:11?
  • Did Jesus Give the Watchtower Worldwide Authority in 1919? - How does the Watchtower maintain such tight control over the lives of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide? It convinces them that Jesus gave them that authority in 1919.
  • Was God’s Kingdom Established in 1914? - The Watchtower claims that God’s Kingdom was established in 1914. How do they arrive at this misconception, and how can we respond?
  • But Why Didn’t They Recognize Him? - Jehovah’s Witnesses will sometimes ask, “If Jesus rose from the dead in his own body, how is it that so many of his close friends didn’t recognize him?”
  • Did Jesus Present Fake Resurrection Evidence? - The Watchtower teaches that Jesus’ physical body was never raised from the dead. But there’s a problem. The Watchtower admits, “On one occasion, for the benefit of Thomas, Jesus appeared with the physical evidence of nail prints in his hands and a spear wound in his side.”
  • What Did Happen to Jesus’ Body? - The Watchtower acknowledges that Jesus’ body was no longer in the tomb after the stone was rolled away. Neither the Roman authorities nor the Jewish leadership ever produced it. The Watchtower doesn’t believe that the disciples stole the body. So what happened to it? The Watchtower insists that it was not raised from the dead.
  • Did Jesus Prophesy Falsely in John 2? - An interesting question to ask Jehovah’s Witnesses is, “Did Jesus make a false prophecy in John 2?” Now, no Jehovah’s Witness would ever say that Jesus uttered a false prophecy, but what he predicted in John 2 completely contradicts Watchtower teachings.
  • What Was Raised? - I recommend that you ask Jehovah's Witnesses, “Regarding Jesus himself, what exactly was it that died and then came to life again?” If necessary you can go through the options with them.
  • Is the Man Jesus Still Dead? - As far back as 1899, the Watchtower pronounced that “the man Jesus is dead, forever dead." (Studies in the Scriptures, Vol. 5, 1899, p. 454) But the Watchtower believes Christ was resurrected, so what did they mean by that?
